Banking exams

SBI PO

State Bank of India Probationary Officer

SBI PO is one of India's most competitive banking exams, with lakhs of aspirants competing for around 2,000 officer-grade vacancies each year. The selection is a three-stage process — Prelims, Mains and a Group Exercise + Interview round — and rewards aspirants with strong fundamentals in data interpretation, high-level reasoning puzzles and English grammar.

SBI Clerk

SBI Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales)

SBI Clerk (officially Junior Associate) is one of the highest-paying clerical positions in Indian banking. The exam is a two-stage process — Prelims followed by Mains. It is speed-focused: questions are simpler than PO but the time pressure is intense, with sectional timing of 20 minutes.

IBPS PO

IBPS Probationary Officer (Common Recruitment Process)

IBPS PO is the gateway to officer-grade positions at 11 public-sector banks in India. Lakhs of candidates appear every year for roughly 4,000+ vacancies. The selection process is three-stage — Prelims, Mains (objective + descriptive) and Interview.

IBPS Clerk

IBPS Clerical Cadre — Common Recruitment Process

IBPS Clerk is a two-stage exam (Prelims + Mains) with no interview. The final merit is based on Mains marks only, making it one of the most predictable banking exams to crack with focused practice.

IBPS SO

IBPS Specialist Officer

IBPS SO targets candidates with domain specialisation — IT, agriculture, marketing, HR, law or Hindi. Selection is via a 3-stage process: Prelims (objective), Mains (objective + professional knowledge) and Interview.

IBPS RRB PO

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I (PO)

IBPS RRB PO (Officer Scale-I) is the gateway to officer positions at 43 Regional Rural Banks across India. The exam is widely considered scoring because the difficulty level is moderate and there is no English section in Prelims (Reasoning + Quantitative only).

IBPS RRB Clerk

IBPS RRB Office Assistant

IBPS RRB Clerk (Office Assistant) is a two-stage exam — Prelims + Mains, no interview. Final merit is based on Mains marks. Like RRB PO, there is no English in Prelims.

RBI Grade B

Reserve Bank of India — Grade B Officer (DR-General)

RBI Grade B is one of India's most prestigious banking jobs. The exam is a three-phase process — Phase I (Prelims), Phase II (Mains with three papers including ESI and Finance & Management) and an Interview. Strong English + Economy reading is essential.

RBI Assistant

Reserve Bank of India — Assistant

RBI Assistant is a clerical-grade position at the Reserve Bank of India offices. Selection involves a Prelims + Mains + Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The role offers excellent work-life balance and pay parity with PSU bank PO.

NABARD

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development — Grade A / B Officer

NABARD recruits officers for development banking, agricultural finance and rural credit. The exam follows a 3-phase pattern similar to RBI Grade B but with additional emphasis on ARD (Agriculture & Rural Development) and ESI (Economic & Social Issues).
